Q is for Quest

Happy Monday everyone! Are you ready for one of the more difficult letters of the A to Z Challenge? I've struggled with this one in the past, but not this time!

This year I couldn't wait to get to the letter "Q", for I have an awesome topic for an A to Z Movie Smackdown. In fact, the worst part about today's post is that I can only choose two movies to pit against one another. But I had to narrow it down to the best of the best examples of Quests in modern film. So without further ado, cast your VOTE and let me know which you think takes the prize.

Q is for Quest:

  1. I just saw the Wizard of Oz again a few days ago. It is almost impossible for me to vote against it.

  2. I've gotta say Monty Python. Just too many fun things that go down in that movie, it's always been a favorite.

  3. Well that isn't fair, two different quest... same goal I guess. For this I will pick Holy Grail...

  4. No comparison - Monty Python all the way!

  5. No contest - Holy Grail is totally the winner of these two. I know WoOz is a classic, but it's not Monty Python ;)

  6. I'm going to have to go with the rest of the crowd and vote for Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

  7. Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Tim trumps Oz!

  8. Holy Grail - filmed at Doune Castle, not far from where I live. If you take an audio-tour of the castle, you’ll find it’s narrated by Terry Jones.

  12. I'm a huge Monty Python fan, but I also have been in love with the Wizard of Oz since I was a kid. You're not making this easy, are you? I'll go with the others and vote for the Wizard.

  13. I'm told that, as a child, my favourite movie was the Wizard of Oz. But now I would definitely say the Holy Grail!

  20. That's a really hard choice. I'm indifferent to The Wizard of Oz, but I have to admit it's more of a classic. I'll go Wizard :P

  21. This one's hard, because I teach with the movie Wizard of Oz, but...I have to go with Monty Python, with very little hesitation. If I were stranded on a deserted island with only one movie to watch...
