K is for Kung Fu

Hello fellow A to Z-ers, it's the start of a new week of the challenge. I'm feeling refreshed and ready to come check out all of your "K" posts!

This A to Z Movie Smackdown post is dedicated to my wonderful husband, who absolutely loves all things Chinese and Japanese. I've got to admit, this particular category of film is not really my cup of tea. In fact, I had to ask around to find two movies that would make a good pairing (the alternate pairing below was all mine though!). But for those of you who are fans of the genre (or even if you're not), VOTE for you favorite . . .

K is for Kung Fu:

 vs.

[First alternate pairing: Kung Fu Panda vs. Rush Hour]

  1. You're trying to make me choose between Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee!!!! I'm sorry, I can't so I'm going to vote for the first alternate pairing and say Kung Fu Panda, because, no matter what that's up against, it wins :)

  2. I am a fan of Jackie Chan and all, but it is almost impossible to vote against the legend Bruce Lee, so Enter the Dragon for the win. :)

  3. About the closest I can get to martial arts action is 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon', so I have to abstain.

  6. I haven't seen either of these. I was never big into Bruce Lee, but I love Jackie Chan.

  7. These are so different. Jackie Chan is one comedic Kung Fu guy and Bruce Lee is the icon of Kung Fu. I can't choose on this one.

  12. What ever has the most kung-fu involved. Like the action but wont turn it on myself, it has to be already on. Also nice post for your J as well

  18. Choosing between Jackie Chang and Bruce Lee! So unfair!

But I have to go with Enter the Dragon. Classics win out.

  21. Drunken master is one of Jackie Chan's best! Also great are Who Am I and the Rush Hour movies.

  22. How can you expect us to choose between two icons?! I'll go with Jackie Chan, just because he is in three of the four choices. But Bruce Lee really is the master.
