Hello fellow A to Z-ers, it's the start of a new week of the challenge. I'm feeling refreshed and ready to come check out all of your "K" posts!
This A to Z Movie Smackdown post is dedicated to my wonderful husband, who absolutely loves all things Chinese and Japanese. I've got to admit, this particular category of film is not really my cup of tea. In fact, I had to ask around to find two movies that would make a good pairing (the alternate pairing below was all mine though!). But for those of you who are fans of the genre (or even if you're not), VOTE for you favorite . . .
K is for Kung Fu:
[First alternate pairing: Kung Fu Panda vs. Rush Hour]

You're trying to make me choose between Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee!!!! I'm sorry, I can't so I'm going to vote for the first alternate pairing and say Kung Fu Panda, because, no matter what that's up against, it wins :)

I am a fan of Jackie Chan and all, but it is almost impossible to vote against the legend Bruce Lee, so Enter the Dragon for the win. :)
ReplyDeleteAbout the closest I can get to martial arts action is 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon', so I have to abstain.
ReplyDeleteI've seen Enter the Dragon but would prefer Rush Hour.
ReplyDeleteEnter the Dragon for sure.
ReplyDeleteEnter the Dragon :D

I haven't seen either of these. I was never big into Bruce Lee, but I love Jackie Chan.
ReplyDeleteThese are so different. Jackie Chan is one comedic Kung Fu guy and Bruce Lee is the icon of Kung Fu. I can't choose on this one.
ReplyDeleteYou picked two I've never seen so no vote from me today. Also never watched the alternates.
ReplyDeleteI have to go for Jackie Chan over Bruce Lee :) But I wanna vote on the alternate and vote Kung Fu Panda everytime! :)

I have seen "Enter The Dragon" years ago and I have seen the other one also-which I am surprised about:) I vote for Bruce Lee-He is the King of this anyway
ReplyDeleteGuy movies for sure
ReplyDeleteEnter the Dragon and for alternate pairing- Kung Fu Panda.
ReplyDeleteWhat ever has the most kung-fu involved. Like the action but wont turn it on myself, it has to be already on. Also nice post for your J as well
ReplyDeleteEnter the Dragon. Love Jackie but he is no Bruce Lee.
ReplyDeleteLegend of the Drunken Master, only because it was the movie that I saw of the two of them.
ReplyDeletebetty
Kung Fu Panda is the only one of those I've watched. :) Stopping by from the A to Z Challenge! Aidyl@Noveltea
ReplyDeleteI really like Drunken Master so I'm going with that one.
ReplyDeleteEnter the Dragon looks intense! I haven't seen either of them. :)
ReplyDeleteChoosing between Jackie Chang and Bruce Lee! So unfair!
ReplyDeleteBut I have to go with Enter the Dragon. Classics win out.

Have to go with enter the dragon. No question on that one. And alt. I go for Kung fu panda.
ReplyDeleteI'm not familiar with the first movie though think I may have seen the second, so will vote for that one: enter the dragon. <3
ReplyDeleteJackie Chan :D I just love him :D
ReplyDeleteDrunken master is one of Jackie Chan's best! Also great are Who Am I and the Rush Hour movies.
ReplyDeleteHow can you expect us to choose between two icons?! I'll go with Jackie Chan, just because he is in three of the four choices. But Bruce Lee really is the master.

You can never go against Bruce Lee, I'm sorry, hands down.
