Halloween Howl-Fest: Magical (Round 2)

Thanks everyone who voted in the Magical Conference: Round 1 of my Halloween Howl-Fest. I love seeing everyone's thoughts about some of my favorite spooky films. There were a few landslides (ahem, Harry Potter), and few that were nearly neck and neck, but as promised, Round 1 winners have been chosen. Take a look . . .


But who will move on to Round 2? Only you can decide. Look over the top eight magical films and cast your vote. And of course, don't forget to check back Friday to see which films will make it into Round 3!

    (Hocus Pocus is easily my favorite out of all these, but now that it's up against Harry Potter...it's chances of moving on probably aren't all that good, heh.)

      I know...when I filled out my own version of this bracket, it made it all the way to the finals. AND IT WON.

      Maybe if I'd been to the Wizarding World of Hocus Pocus... And it's not like it was an easy choice.

      I know you're not familiar with how brackets work, but typically the two strongest options (Hocus Pocus and Harry Potter in this instance, or Spain and Germany to use a sports example) are positioned so that they don't meet until the finals.

      A little off topic, but can you imagine if two great soccer teams like Spain and Germany ever played in a World Cup final? It would be epic. Too bad that's never happened. Or maybe I'm just repressing the memory. Either way, as far as I can remember, Germany has never played Spain in a World Cup final.

      Yup, that's the one. I think it's a fairly underrated and fun kids movie. A fun take on Mickey from Fantasia.

      I thought it was a great movie. I really don't understand why it didn't better. What's his name that played the apprentice (blanking, at the moment) was perfect.
