Happy Monday everyone! Are you ready for one of the more difficult letters of the A to Z Challenge? I've struggled with this one in the past, but not this time!
This year I couldn't wait to get to the letter "Q", for I have an awesome topic for an A to Z Movie Smackdown. In fact, the worst part about today's post is that I can only choose two movies to pit against one another. But I had to narrow it down to the best of the best examples of Quests in modern film. So without further ado, cast your VOTE and let me know which you think takes the prize.
Q is for Quest:

I just saw the Wizard of Oz again a few days ago. It is almost impossible for me to vote against it.
ReplyDeleteI've gotta say Monty Python. Just too many fun things that go down in that movie, it's always been a favorite.
ReplyDeleteWell that isn't fair, two different quest... same goal I guess. For this I will pick Holy Grail...
ReplyDeleteNo comparison - Monty Python all the way!
ReplyDeleteNo contest - Holy Grail is totally the winner of these two. I know WoOz is a classic, but it's not Monty Python ;)

I'm going to have to go with the rest of the crowd and vote for Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
ReplyDeleteMonty Python and the Holy Grail. Tim trumps Oz!
ReplyDeleteHoly Grail - filmed at Doune Castle, not far from where I live. If you take an audio-tour of the castle, you’ll find it’s narrated by Terry Jones.

I had no idea it was filmed there. How cool that you live so close!
DeleteGotta go with Monty Python.
ReplyDeleteI have to go with The Wizard of Oz. I could never vote against it. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, that is just not fair. I'll have to go with The Wizard of Oz, just because I've liked it longer :)
ReplyDeleteWizard of Oz; both classics but like this one the best!
ReplyDeletebetty
The Wizard of Oz for sure.
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge Monty Python fan, but I also have been in love with the Wizard of Oz since I was a kid. You're not making this easy, are you? I'll go with the others and vote for the Wizard.
ReplyDeleteI know - this would be a hard one for ME to decide as well.
DeleteI'm told that, as a child, my favourite movie was the Wizard of Oz. But now I would definitely say the Holy Grail!
ReplyDeleteOh boy. Two great movies! But I'd have to go with Holy Grail. Too dang funny.
ReplyDeleteI crack up every single time.
DeleteOh I must go with The Holy Grail since I love the coconuts plus my favourite colour is blue:)
ReplyDeleteI love coconuts and blue is my favorite color too :)

Monty Python.
ReplyDeleteHoly Grail!
ReplyDeleteThat's a really hard choice. I'm indifferent to The Wizard of Oz, but I have to admit it's more of a classic. I'll go Wizard :P
ReplyDeleteThis one's hard, because I teach with the movie Wizard of Oz, but...I have to go with Monty Python, with very little hesitation. If I were stranded on a deserted island with only one movie to watch...
ReplyDeleteHoly Grail! LOL! Crucifixion, please! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe Holy Grail! ( sorry Shirley )
ReplyDeleteMonty python through and through.
ReplyDeleteMonty python through and through.
ReplyDeleteWhen in doubt i would always choose Monty Python :D
