Biography

Like most writers I composed my first stories when I was barely old enough to hold a crayon, but it wasn't until high school that I realized I wanted to write for a living. I began college as a journalism major, but followed my love of novels to a BA in English Literature and History from Southwestern University. After working as a technical writer and developing my editing skills at the Debby Ellis Writing Center, I joined the Houston Writer’s Guild in February 2011 and began work on my second novel.

As of August 2011, I am officially an agented write. Stay tuned for the day I can finally add "published author" to that list.

I love super-villains, adventures on the high seas and sports. I’m terrible with computers and half convinced machines will rise up and try to exterminate the human race. I already have an escape plan worked out in the event of a zombie apocalypse, and should the world end in 2012, I’m glad I got to read the last Harry Potter book first. If I could meet any five people, dead or alive, I’d chose Joss Whedon, Mary Shelley, Philip K. Dick, Jane Austen and J. K. Rowling (all writers, go figure).
